Data and Impact Volunteer Role

25th July 2024

Do you enjoy working with data? Can you analyse and interpret our data to help support and shape Salford Foodbank?

As a food bank we have a vision to end the need for our services in our local community. We are recruiting a Data and Impact Volunteer to support us to use our data to help us make better, evidence-based decisions that reflect the community, and respond to the needs of people visiting our foodbank.

Our data comes from various sources, including our database, referral partners, and the voices of our staff, volunteers, and people who are referred to our food bank. We’re looking for a new specialist volunteer to help analyse and interpret the data and provide reports on your findings. We’re keen to bring our data to life – to share it visually with our supporters, volunteers and stakeholders. But we also want to ensure we understand our data and use it to anticipate and plan changes to our services and have a greater awareness of any gaps in our work.

This is a new volunteer role – we welcome experience and talent from all backgrounds. The role will be fully supported by the Foodbank Manager and staff team. We’d love to hear from you if you have a passion for data and background in data science, analysis, visualisation or development.
