Partner Welcome Mornings

9th January 2025

New dates for Partner Welcome Mornings at Salford Foodbank

Each month we hold two welcome mornings here at our Salford Foodbank office and warehouse. The sessions are for anyone working across Salford who refer people to Salford Foodbank, issuing individuals or families with foodbank vouchers to enable them to visit one of our centres to pick up a food parcel and access additional support.

We work with over 140 trusted referral partners – including statutory agencies linked with Salford Council or NHS such as Social Services Child Protection Team and Supported Tenancies, several local charitable organisations such as Salford Loaves and Fishes, and local churches and housing associations. We have also seen a recent increase in staff from local GP practices and primary schools wishing to register with us to enable them to support people in their communities with referrals to Salford Foodbank.

Our Welcome Mornings are a great opportunity to visit the Foodbank warehouse, see how our sorting and food packing operations works, learn more about the online referral system and network with others working in our local community. The mornings are also a chance for us to increase our knowledge of the work of other organisations, understand the issues being faced by those needing our services, and discuss how we can work together to help support people out of crisis.

The upcoming dates for our Partner Welcome Mornings are;

Tuesday 21st January at 9.30am until approx 10.45am

Thursday 6th February at 9.30am until approx 10.45am

Tuesday 18th February at 9.30am until approx 10.45am
