Elf Run 2026 – Run Media City Christmas 5k and 10k

Get your Elf hats ready for Salford Foodbank!

Salford Foodbank is thrilled to be the partner charity for this year’s Run Media City Christmas 10k and 5k event on Saturday 19th December at 10.30am. Support your local charity by becoming one of our Elf Runners! You’ll be raising funds to help local people who rely on us when facing food crisis. We provide emergency food parcels containing 3 days of nutritionally balanced food plus other essentials, advice and support. We’re currently feeding over 400 people across Salford every week.

The flat quick route follows a 2.5km loop over the Millennium Bridge, past the Imperial War Museum, and around the ITV and BBC television studios. With festive energy, a brilliant setting, and plenty of race day cheer, it is a fantastic way to end the year on a high.

We’re offering discounted entry fee of £20 for the 5k distance and £25 for the 10k distance. Then raise as much sponsorship as you can. With two distance options, anyone can join the fun, whether they’re new to jogging or a seasoned runner – children, families, friends, colleagues all welcome!

By registering to support Salford Foodbank you’ll receive a Salford Foodbank Elf t-shirt and themed medal, finish line goodies, chip-timed results, race day photos, plus fundraising guidance and support to help you raise as much sponsorship as possible.

Every one of your Elf miles will help us to continue supporting people in food poverty in Salford.
