PRAY4U

26th April 2021

It has been clear to us working with both clients and volunteers, that the combined effects of prolonged lockdowns and ongoing social distancing over the last year, have created a significant increase in mental health issues such as anxiety, stress, fear, loneliness,  worry, depression and even suicidal tendencies.

Salford Foodbank, a Christian-led charity, believes that this ‘emotional poverty’ needs addressing just as much as the food poverty which we are successful in combatting through our Food Parcels.

So we are offering a new service – Pray4U – which gives everyone the opportunity to receive a prayer to help combat these mental health concerns.

We are offering prayers for peace, comfort and hope to anyone who asks.

All you need do is email us at [email protected] and we will confidentially reply to you – prayers can be over the phone or emailed back to you. Once we have prayed for you, we will leave you alone unless you choose to get in touch again. This is a safe and confidential service, which we hope will benefit many people.

Jesus tells us “ Man shall not live by bread alone, but by everything that God has said”.
